Well the time has finally come where my first exhibition
is happening already. I've been a little bit in denial that this is
actually a thing that is really happening... but it actually is...
there's an add playing on the radio... I'm being interviewed
about it on Tuesday... people are asking me about it...
and saying they're actually coming... tomorrow morning
a bunch of paintings are being collected from the house
to be schlepped off to Koru on Devon, New Plymouths contemporary art gallery, where they will be
hung in time for the Friday opening of
"REWRITING THE FUTURE THRU ART"
featuring my first body of work...
The Garage Collection...
eeeek! And Yay!
It seems I have plugged into something that has it's own legs and needs little orchestration on my behalf. I show up to the easel, the paintings tell me what to paint and coax themselves into existence, appearing moment by moment on what always starts as a blank canvas, with nothing there... till it is. Then walls call them, saying come hang here... and I just keep saying YES, ok, let's do that next then.
It's a sweet feeling to find myself in the unfurling flow of my own personal instructions where I get to trust the ever emerging dance of the one-step-plan knowing that within each step the next one naturally emerges... in just the same way as one foot following the other in an every day walk without ever having to think about it. The next foot just takes it's next step.
Yep... the one step plan. That's where the rubber hits the road because it calls you to drop out of your mind, out of your heart, out of your body even, including your spiritual body too, and to listen thru the stillness of your deepest source connection and simply respond to the life that is happening. It takes trusting that the answer as to what to do next is in exactly what you are actually doing. You're already doing it in the one step plan... you just might not have known that you would be doing "this" - whatever this is - in any one step... or that "this" - whatever this is - could possibly be the next step. But the 'why' reveals itself in time too.
And that's how I've been painting.
Art has taught me the one step plan
The conversation I have with the canvas about the painting I'm trying to find is the same conversation I have with my source energy about the life I'm trying to live. Thinking, plotting, planning, manifesting, visioning, even intentions... none of these technologies work as they all come from a frequency rooted in not having something.... and even if I make some progress with them, they eventually default me back to the frequency of not having. But at my elemental level I am Nature, I have everything I could possibly need. So I paint from here, I live from here, as Nature.
So here I am feeling rebooted, resourced and generating new frequencies after taking the past year and a half to hermit up and do not much else but paint, bar being a mama and part time mentor to a select collection of clients, I pretty much dropped out of life.
My point in sharing is this... We've all been through something pivotal this past few years. Find a way to full yourself up, say the yes's and no's you need to say to make some space, then create. When we live from our most creative self, surprising and unexpected things start to happen.... because somewhere deep inside your most creative self hides the free energy technology that liberates literally every aspect of your life from anywhere you are stuck and the 'You' you were born to be emerges.
The one step plan is rooted in TRUST... trust in your own personal Source knowing that at the core of that is the infinite powerhouse version of you tapped in and turned on and ready to pour forth the unfurling instructions with which you were born. Your personal instruction codes are activated. It's your CREATIVE self that moves the cogs of your life into the action that lays out the life path you were born to tread. All you need to do is say yes when you need to say yes and no when you need to say no, and keep on walking.
It's our time to shine. It's our time to speak up. It's our time to wake up and grow up. It's time to create like only YOU can.
One week to go...
till it all hangs
at the opening of
my first exhibition
"Rewriting the Future thru Art"
I’ll be showing
eleven pieces
from my first ever
body of work
which have been
endearingly curated as

exploring life’s transitions
through mixed media

I’m going to tell the story
of how it began
with the huge canvas
that became my

The journey that followed

It’s not just my story
it’s the story
of how we might each
transform our unraveling
over the last few years
and rewrite our futures
into the most positively

we dare to create
We were born for these times.
